MMG is Hiring a Medical Records Clerk Near NY, NY
The person in this position processes medical records requests, issues payments for records, and ensures the timely receipt of all records needed for the litigation process. They report to the Operations Manager.
The duties and responsibilities for the MMG Medical Records Clerk is as follows:
- Process authorizations for the release of records for medical treatment, employment, taxes, worker's compensation and immigration.
- Process invoices received from facilities
- Request payment from the billing department for checks for payment of invoices in order to receive requested records
- Ensure that all records are received in a timely fashion
- Ensure that all data in relation to medical records requests are logged into the practice management system.
- Effectively communicate with attorneys and paralegals regarding the status of records requests
- Ensure all records and invoices are properly named and saved to files
- Other tasks as assigned
Salary range: $19-$21/hr.
