We are looking for a resourceful Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Welding) who can… Lead the planning, development, implementation and optimization of welding methods/processes for new and existing products. Ensure the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs. Collaborate with cross functional teams in releasing new products and lead the transfer of existing product into the Broomfield manufacturing facility. Assist in the selection and development of personnel to support the production teams and encourage Continuous Improvement and Lean operations. Apply Lean methodologies to complex issues where analysis of the data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business metrics. Lead Continuous Improvement projects and develop tooling, fixtures and process documentation throughout the manufacturing and welding operations. Collaborate with engineering to review/improve product prints for manufacturability. Build networks with team leaders and peers to instill trust and optimize work processes. Must be able to facilitate a cooperative effort among members of a project team. What you will bring to the team, along with your passion for improvement, is: Required Project leadership experience and tool design for weld products with tolerances ranging between 0.01”-0.03”. Knowledgeable in the requirements of ASME Section 9 and AWS 14.5 standards Experience with 3D CAD software (Inventor, Solidworks) Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree required. Master’s Degree preferred. 5-7 years of related Manufacturing Engineering experience. 1-3 years leading teams involving project management, Lean, and Continuous Improvement. Desired Experience with weld processes that require autogenous TIG welding of stainless steel Experience developing weld documentation. (PQR, WPS, WPQ) Manufacturing knowledge in Ultra High Vacuum service and/or Bio-Pharmaceutical industries. Experience with PLC and automated process development. Working knowledge of ERP/MRP and quality control software (Oracle, Agile, LabVIEW, Visual Factory). MKS Instruments, Inc. is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity employer. This range is a good faith estimate of the salary range for this position, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
