Shift Hours: Weekend Shift, Friday, Saturday, Sunday M-F, 5AM - 5PM

Summary of Duties: Working production leader responsible for 3-6 direct reports for department and/or group of machines. Key member of the company operational team.

Essential Duties:

Department Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for department and/or group of machines in assigned area. Keep Manager informed of all key issues.
• Track machine, personnel efficiencies.
• Coordinate and assign personnel activities.
• Adapt and react quickly to changes based on Customer delivery requirements.
• Analyze and resolve work problems. Assist personnel in solving work problems.
• Ensure area is kept clean and delegate housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Understand and follow all Safety practices and regulations.
• Train new workers.
• Assist in employee performance reviews and evaluations.
• Recommend training and development of existing personnel skills.

Production Responsibilities:

• Oversee the set-up and operation of machines.
• Estimate worker-hour requirements.
• Work with the Maintenance Department to ensure all production machines are repaired.
• Run machines when needed.

Quality Responsibilities:

Work with the Quality Assurance Department to interpret drawings, specifications to ensure product being manufactured matches all Customer requirements.

Take the lead in resolving quality issues and problems.

Continuous Improvement Responsibilities:

• Recommend process improvement measures for cost reductions to improve production methods, equipment performance, quality of products and working conditions.
• Lead all setup reduction activities.
• Implement and maintain 5S program (organization of tooling, workstations) in assigned area.
• Assist in team-building activities.
• Education Level: High School Diploma / or Equivalent required.
• Technical diploma in machining and/or supervision would be a plus.

Experience: 2 years Shop lead or supervisor experience required. 2 years of Precision CNC Mill or Lathe experience. Quality Assurance experience a plus.

Physical Demands: Must be able to be on feet for entire shift.
