You will collaborate as a key member of the team supporting our operations to meet challenging project budgets and schedule targets for manufacturing projects. Job Responsibilities & Requirements Essential Functions: Be accountable for and own detailed execution processes behind manufacturing orders/projects with the support of our operations team Own assigned projects serving both internal and external customers while providing schedule updates and communicating ongoing status updates and change order details, as appropriate Provide direction to design and production personnel to ensure manufacturing specifications are adhered to, execution budgets are maintained, and shipments meet our promised commitment dates to our customers Be responsible for driving timely project hardware/material purchases working with our procurement team to improve deliveries and better leverage project spend. Take direction from the financial execution team to respond to changing cost and revenue trends as well as ensuring accurate manpower and procurement forecasting reports are maintained monthly Present in weekly project performance reviews with the operations team for your project(s) and identify risks/challenges to insure accurate resource forecasting, successful completion, and customer satisfaction Provide first line technical support for manufacturing personnel assigned to your projects and escalate to engineering personnel, as required. Support proposal efforts as required to ensure sufficient operations budgets are included in all offers Own in continuous improvement initiatives with other teammates across our operations to drive optimal organizational processes Comply with all MiTek policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice. Skills & Abilities: Engineering degree with 4 years relevant experience Strong Project Management experience: excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Lean Manufacturing experience. Self-Motivated, willing to learn. Expert level in Microsoft Office suite of tools Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable with directing and evaluating tasks/activities to supporting team members Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess problems or issues with manufacturing equipment. Extensive knowledge of production principles and techniques. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficient with computer-aided drafting (CAD) software. PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Four-year degree in an engineering or technical related field Practical knowledge and use of scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera Experience in construction, electrical or automation industry Experience supporting a high mix medium volume manufacturing or job-shop organization Proficiency in presenting information to management and customers Drive to understand how things work PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
