Summary The IT Project Manager manages IT projects throughout the project lifecycle and develops project plans and schedules. This individual will also track project progress, project costs, project risks and issues, and communicate project status to the team. This IT Project Manager will also assign work to project team members and vendors and track assignments, driving projects to successful completion. Job Responsibilities & Requirements RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage projects across the entire project lifecycle Complete assigned projects in a timely manner, within project resources Submit project deliverables and ensure that they adhere to quality standards Prepare status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information Facilitate change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget Keep management informed of project progress and problems, particularly as to needed changes in schedule, resources, production, or installation Prepare periodic progress reports, estimates, and re-estimates Respond to problems in a timely, effective manner Maintain appropriate expertise to ensure effective, solution-oriented service level REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience ; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus 5 years proven experience as a Project Coordinator and/or Project Manager required Experience leading project teams of various sizes and seeing them through to completion Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies Track record of completing projects on time and within budget Budget management experience Experienced with Microsoft Office programs and Project and Portfolio Management software Must be self-motivated, enjoy detailed project work, and have strong analytical skills, organizational skills, and work well under pressure.
