Summary We are looking for a Human Resource Business Partner focused on understanding people and business needs to provide proactive solutions to support company objectives. This role will partner with the business in executing the full HR life cycle, including staffing, turnover, succession planning, coaching/training, change management, compliance, DEI, compensation and benefits, employee relations, reward & recognition, and other HR special projects as needed. The role will also have administrative responsibilities in day-to-day HR matters. The right candidate will be resourceful and will support the HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations by delivering best-in-class HR service. Job Responsibilities & Requirements ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS HR strategic business partner to two manufacturing facilities in Houston, TX (three miles in distance between plants) Provides strategic support, coaching/training with management regarding employee relations matters. Partner with designated business partners to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning. Oversee job description, position requisition and job posting processes in partnership with Talent Acquisition. Ensure diverse hiring in all areas. Collaborates with other HRBPs to execute existing and new HR policies and procedures, change management, including the delivery of training communications to Team Members as needed. Ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation and transactions, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence. Handle all tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance. Understand and adhere to affirmative action program, OSHA requirements, OFCCP/EEO regulations. Track monthly HR metrics related to headcount, recruitment, turnover, direct labor, and other HR activities to drive the business. Provide support with employee benefit programs, worker’s compensation & safety plans. Partners with appropriate department leads to maintain knowledge to of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Assist with talent acquisition and recruitment processes including requisitions, interviewing, and employment offers. Payroll Processing, time & attendance support, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Provides coaching and support in all areas of talent management, including selection, assessment, development, deployment, engagement, and retention of talent. Supports and executes on defined talent agenda. Proven ability to build strong partnerships – identifies opportunities and takes action to work collaboratively; builds partnerships across all functional areas. Assist with the development, roll-out, and administration of programs, procedures, and guideline to help align the workforce with the company’s strategic goals. Actively participates in the respective meetings representing HR and supporting the business. Advises and trains people leaders in employee relations best practices and strategies for managing employee issues. Supports and guides on performance management process. Supports line managers as well as employees on developmental tools (training courses, opportunities for developmental assignments, etc.). Leads in completion of the salary review process and provides guidance in market to remain competitive. Investigate and document all workers compensation and employee relations claims. Superior attention to detail, accuracy, timeliness, and meets deadlines. Shows initiative and independent thinking. SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred; major in human resource management, psychology, human relations, or another related field program. PHR certification is desired. Experience: 3 years’ HR experience required. Prior frontline employee support strongly preferred. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Human Resources Systems (Workday Payroll & Recruiting Systems a plus); Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook); Social Media (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.).
