Misumi USA is Hiring a Marketing Manager Near Schaumburg, IL

This position leads the development of digital and traditional marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness, win new customers, and deepen existing customer penetration through cross-promotional tactics. Deep knowledge of best marketing practices, omni-channel campaign tactics, and project management skills is required. Familiarity with a variety of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures is preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILTIES

Marketing Strategies – 35%

  • Manages all phases of integrated marketing campaigns including strategy planning and analysis, creative direction and review, budget planning and analysis, production timetables; bid specifications; list selection and acquisition; and ROI analysis.
  • Maintains current knowledge of market and customer segments by staying abreast of competitor activities, industry trends, regulatory activities, and business trends.
  • Drives improvement in the financial performance of the business through on-going business analysis, financial analysis, and continuous process improvements.
  • Develops and writes appropriate messaging to target audiences for each campaign for various marketing tactics including email, digital ads, and collateral.
  • Collaborate with sales and product business units in developing campaign strategies, messaging, and audience targets.
  • Assist in the development of technical engineering marketing content, including blogs, videos, presentations, white papers, case studies, and more.

Project Management – 35%

  • Understands marketing capabilities, service and process, and effectively communicates to the Campaign Stakeholder(s)
  • Translates marketing program requests into functional requirements, working with the Marketing campaign template and the Campaign Stakeholder(s)
  • Manages projects following their scheduled path and ensuring on-time delivery of print and online components
  • Sets and manages expectations with internal stakeholders and understanding of the marketing process for program impact
  • Mange relationships with outside agencies and vendors

Management – 20%

  • Lead, manage and motivate associate campaign managers.
  • Works with all MISUMI departments to lead the development of marketing campaigns that support business strategy and initiatives.
  • Works with project team to prioritize projects, maintain a continuous knowledge of project status, identify potential issues and /or opportunities within or related to the project.
  • Reviews all deliverables to ensure all processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met, and projects are delivered on time.

Other Projects / Duties assigned by Leadership – 10%

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Engineering
  • 7 years of technical marketing experience with manufacturing related products and services within the manufacturing industry
  • General knowledge of Marketing Automation (Marketo) and CRM (Salesforce) processes and practices
  • Previous people leadership experience required
  • Trade Show & Event management experience
  • Ability to manage external providers and prioritize duties
  • Team player approach with a positive and proactive attitude
  • High level of flexibility and capable of delivering results in a rapidly changing environment
  • Process orientation with an entrepreneurial attitude
  • Working experience within an international company is a plus.
  • May need to lift trade show materials and collateral up to 50 lbs.
  • Travel up to 15%
