MISSOURI MILITARY ACADEMY is Hiring a High School English Teacher Near Paris, MO

Missouri Military Academy is seeking a full-time English Instructor to join our team in the next school year, 2023-2024.

The ideal candidate is a licensed teacher with a degree in English and must have previous teaching experience in the subject area, including composition, literature, poetry and speech. Applicants must have a current understanding of best practice and pedagogy in teaching English to cadets at the high school level. A graduate degree in English or a related field is preferred. Persons with expertise in multiple academic areas and/or coaching experience are highly desirable. A commitment to the academic and social/emotional growth of students is essential.

Faculty members serve in a wide capacity across the campus including participating in student life activities, as well as academic advisors. Being able to work collaboratively with fellow faculty members and residential staff is critical for this position. Candidates should be realistic and excited about the challenges and rewards of teaching and working in an academically challenging college preparatory school environment.

Missouri Military Academy offers a dynamic educational experience for boys in grades 7-12 in a military boarding school environment. The Academy is known for its 360 Degree Education, which provides a structured, well-rounded, holistic education that is centered upon the pillars of academic excellence, character development, personal motivation, physical health and the enhancement of leadership skills.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
