Mississippi Valley Surgery Center is seeking a Full-time Maintenance Technician. This position is Monday - Friday with no weekends or holidays.

The duties for position include:

• Effectively troubleshoots and solves complex problems of considerable difficulty and call in outside contractors only if necessary. Maintain and or operate the structure, mechanical & electrical equipment and or systems efficiently and effectively accomplishing the desired end result. Is cognizant of the facilities energy and utilities conservation efforts and ensures equipment is operated consistent with conservation goals.
• Establishes PM tasks and schedules for equipment and ensures required work and documentation is complete. Determines, schedules, and completes periodic maintenance, repair or rebuild as required to maintain consistent reliability of structure, equipment and systems. Will work with, assist and guide outside contractors as required.
• Completes assigned work accurately, efficiently and on schedule, fills out work orders and other documentation for work completed, utilizes computer systems as prescribed to generate work orders and other required documentation. Collects requested records, statistics and data as well as open work order reports, and completes any required reports. Orders parts and supplies in a timely manner that are necessary to maintain the structure, equipment and systems in good working order and to make emergency repairs when needed.
• Performs periodic evaluations of the operation and reliability of the structure, equipment and systems and recommends modification and replacement as needed. Will assist in the evaluation of new equipment prior to purchase and offer written reports and recommendations when required.
• Provides technical assistance to others. Orients, trains and coaches others in relation to their responsibilities. Schedules and prioritizes work, recommends standards of operation, policies and procedures and objectives related to the facilities.
• Stays current with latest developments through adequate seminars and training.
• Devises, implements, and participates in, various programs, procedures, projects, duties, or responsibilities such as safety programs, code, regulatory and accreditation requirements. Performs any other related work as required, including other work or duties assigned. 
• Assists with construction projects by supplying manpower and supervision as required.
• Shall prepare and submit for approval capital projects, contractor quotes, etc. Operates effectively and efficiently to support financial performance goals.
• Maintains necessary documentation, quality assurance and monitoring procedures in accordance with state, local, federal and AAAHC standards.

• Qualifications

• Technical or mechanical background/experience.
• High school diploma or GED certificate required
• Good communication skills
• Good computer skills

• Physical/mental requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and kneel for periods of time. Ability to climb.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, up to 75 pounds

• Positive work attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians
