Mission Neighborhood Health Center is Hiring an Optician Near San Francisco, CA

Want the chance to provide top quality health care to underserved populations in our community?

We are seeking a full time optician with office hours from Monday to Friday 8am-5pm (no weekend hours).

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

The Optician has the following responsibilities and duties:

  • Glasses frame selection, sales, orders, billing.
  • Glasses dispensing, adjustments, and repairs.
  • Contact lens training (training will be provided if no experience).
  • Answering phones, scheduling appointments.
  • Checking insurance eligibility. MES and Eyemed experience preferred but not necessary.

Qualifications

The Optician should have the following skills, education, and experience:

  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Completed optician training program.
  • Friendly, detail oriented, able to multi-task, and a team player with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
  • Private practice experience is preferred but not required
