Mission Healthcare at Bellevue is Hiring a Charge Nurse (RN or LPN) Near Bellevue, WA

Description

Mission Healthcare at Bellevue is looking for an LPN or RN charge nurse for their busy skilled nursing facility.

  • Monday - Friday with rotating weekends 
  • Hiring Bonus of Up to $15,000 for Full=Time 

The Charge Nurse completes the orders and assessments for new patients arriving at Mission Healthcare, while following facility policies and procedures to implement a full medical and care plan for the residents of Mission Healthcare.

This will include following policies and procedures already established by the building, working with the physicians to follow orders for the care of the residents and coordinating with the care team to best care for the residents.

  1.  Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures.
  2. Review clinical information for admission inquiries in order to determine if patients can be admitted.
  3. Enter new orders into our EHR (Point Click Care).
  4. Complete assessments on all new patient admits.
  5. Supervise floor staff and assist the floor nurses with tasks when needed (treatments, calling families, scheduling appointments and transportation).
  6. Complete discharge packets and review discharge information with patients.
  7. Look for replacements in nursing staff when employees call off.
  8. Assist with covid testing.
  9. Monitor patients and report vital signs and status via the healthcare chart. Report and adverse effects and reactions to the appropriate party.
  10. Notify physician, as necessary, of changes in patients’ conditions, weight, medication errors, medication not available, abnormal laboratory/X-ray results, and any other unusual observations.
  11. Record all physician orders and communications and report to the appropriate person(s) per facility policy.
  12. Complete all documentation related to the patient’s care plan and health status.
  13. Complete and document comprehensive assessments of patient needs and health status per facility policies.
  14. Follow comprehensive care plans related to all health conditions based on each patient’s needs and his/her comprehensive assessment as assigned.

Knowledge and Abilities Required to Perform Essential Job Duties

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 
  • Proficient computer skills to manage the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Ability to manage information electronically and transfer records appropriately
  • Ability to work in an electronic environment 
  • Refined deductive reasoning skills to be able to problem solve on shift 
  • Must have valid driver’s license or dependable access to a vehicle for business use
  • Must be in good health and physically/mentally capable of performing assigned tasks
  • Working knowledge of personal computing and word processing software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows 

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience providing nursing services on the floor.
  • Proven track record in supervising staff on a care team.
  • Experience in post-acute care, preferred.
  • Acceptance of philosophy and goals of the Facility. 
  • Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment.
