Overview

The Human Resources Manager is largely internal constituent-facing; assisting and supporting the uncovering, discovering, defining, evaluating, assessing, qualifying, and validating existing employees and employee candidates. The Human Resources Manager works with our internal and external constituents to serve and solve our company and employee needs in all facets of human resources, providing competent, consistent, timely, innovative, and fiscally responsible solutions. The Human Resources Manager is the lead interface, researcher, and evaluator to our external providers of human resources services, and then recommends solutions to management. The Human Resources Manager leads and directs the functions and responsibilities of the human resources department; including but not limited to recruiting and interviewing of employee candidates, administrating pay, benefits, and guidelines, while effectively implementing and supporting any and all company policies and practices.

Responsibilities

Role:

  • Works with company management to understand, comprehend, timely and successfully implement the company’s people strategy; effectively creating and/or implementing the solutions to company and employee needs, recruitment, desired retention, and profitable growth.
  • Provides the strategic and tactical guidance, professional development and support to all human resource staff, both existing employees as well as new hires.
  • Ready, willing and able to perform all facets of human resources needs within human resources, as needed, requested and approved by Management.
  • Creates and/or maintains employee performance review system(s) in a timely, productive, efficient and effective manner, as directed and approved by Management.
  • Responsible for the employee recruitment, posting of roles and positions, interview assistance, background checking, drug and alcohol screening,… of competent and capable new employees while meeting or exceeding desired existing employee retention, as directed by Management.
  • Works with company management to accurately, appropriately, competently and comprehensively define any and all roles at the company.
  • Stays fully apprised and accurately assesses bona fide employment trends in compensation, benefits, incentive pay and employee programs, recommending competent and appropriate solutions for an organization of our size and scope.
  • Ensures all employee benefit programs and offerings are timely, accurate, fiscally responsible, and effectively provided, maintained and administered by both internal human resources people and outside brokers, vendors, plan administrators, carriers, financial and fiduciary suppliers,… and the like.
  • Provides the means for each and every employee to self-manage their payroll and benefits choices by competently and timely guiding each and every employee to the current solution resource for the employee to implement his/her/their choices within payroll, plan and program offerings.
  • Consistently and constantly investigates, assesses, evaluates, and recommends both current and new human resource-related providers; temporary labor, contract labor, recruiting agencies and portals, search firms,…
  • Initiates the creation of learning and development opportunities for the internal advancement, development and retention of our employees, as approved by Management.
  • Manages and oversees the daily workflow of all individuals in the human resources department.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, providing recommendations for company best practices, as well as reviewing company policies and practices to maintain our compliance.
  • Qualifies both new and existing employee programs; meeting or exceeding all Minco standards of performance by reviewing, discovering, researching, exploring, defining, evaluating, assessing, qualifying, and securing proper accreditations, as approved by Management.
  • Provides competent Minco employee plan, program, and services solutions to our diverse workflow; successfully meeting or exceeding all company expectations.
  • Demonstrates sound business acumen; successfully implementing all human resources solutions with continual company profit-mindedness.
  • Successfully implements all external and internal employee human resources plans and programs timely, professionally, competently, and profitably, as approved by Management.
  • Implements company profitable growth strategies for any and all human resources and employee plans and programs.
  • Proactively solves opportunities and challenges by implementing actionable solutions ensuring company profit, revenue and growth objectives are met or exceeded.
  • Successfully identifies and creates opportunities to improve our company human resource offerings with profit-mindedness.
  • Performs other duties as identified.

Qualifications

Skills:

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with fellow employees and Management, as well as external constituents (service providers, vendors, brokerages, third-parties,…).
  • Competently and decisively guides employees to the appropriate third-party resource for answers to benefits inquiries.
  • Exercises and maintains the utmost confidentiality.
  • Outstanding administrator and administrative skills, ensuring the timely, accurate, comprehensive, and competent processing, implementation and filing of any and all human resources matters, both internally and externally to the company.
  • Excellent presentation skills, both internally with fellow employees and Management as well as externally with third-parties.
  • Successful and demonstratable skills to multi-task; successfully implement many and varied opportunities, programs, and/or projects continually.
  • Sound business acumen for many and varied business opportunities and challenges.
  • Create, develop, deliver, and implement well-reasoned recommendations and sound business decisions to Management timely.
  • Effectively and successfully build relationships with fellow employees and Management as well as third-parties.
  • Outstanding skills of taking the initiative, accurately assessing situations, circumstances, and opportunities, and then implementing successful solutions in a timely manner.
  • Successful and demonstratable experience timely responding to/with and resolving opportunities, questions, concerns, and challenges.
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, communication, and presentation skills, including all those constituent-facing, both internal and external to the company.
  • Thrives working in a fast-paced, dynamic, active and high-volume work environment.
  • Competent and proficient with all human resource related matters of a privately-held manufacturing company with multiple work shifts, a diverse workforce, and hundreds of employees.
  • Competent and proficient with all Microsoft applications and an ability to learn more.

Work Experience:

A minimum of five (5) years working in a similar role at a business-to-business manufacturing company with diverse product and service solutions.

Education:

Bachelor or Master Degree in Human Resources, Liberal Arts, or Business Management.

Work Environment:

  • General office environment
  • Domestic and/or International Travel might be twenty percent or more, as needed.
