SUMMARY:The Senior Software Developer provides analysis, design, programming, system implementation, training, and documentation for computer applications and systems processes. This position also provides advice and assistance on any application software problems that arise. Languages used in-house include but are not limited to C#, COBOL, Oracle forms, PHP, PL-SQL, ANSI SQL, java script, HTML and CSS. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform programming maintenance on existing computer applications, both in-house and 3rd-party.Perform programming modifications to purchased software packages.Confirm program operation by conducting tests and making modifications as appropriate.Perform structured systems analysis and design.Review and recommend changes to user methods and procedures.Review and evaluate application software packages and system development tools.Analyze and correct application software problems.Create and modify command files (shell scripts, batch files, etc.).Develop and install cross system application components.Create and maintain interfaces between internal and third-party applications.Assist Director of IT with Oracle Database Administrative Tasks.Provide Project Management.Maintain Data Dictionary.Adhere to MCTS systems development standards.Maintain client confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS:B.S. or B.B.A. degree in MIS, Business or Computer ScienceSeven (7) years of experience with Web-based applications. Five (5) experience with Structured System Analysis and DesignFive (5) years of experience with C# (Program LanguagesTwo (2) years of experience with COBOLTwo (2) years of experience with Oracle formsTwo (2) years of experience with PL SQLTwo (2) years of experience with Transact SQLTwo (2) years of experience with MVCMust pass preemployment exam(s)KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of information technology administration best practices and trends. Knowledge of MCTS applications, interconnections and layered systems. Knowledge of Web-Based applications Knowledge of Bash and SQL (structured query language) scripting. Knowledge of server, data base environments and network infrastructure. Knowledge of MCTS operations and policies. Skilled in computer operations and spreadsheet, word processing, database, and related software. Ability to multitask. Ability to develop and execute company strategies to attain outcomes for set goals. Ability to learn and teach new technologies to staff. Ability to develop and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to work independently. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Work is frequently conducted office or similar indoor environment relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Physical requirements are those described as light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects.
