Class: Full-Time

Reports to: Vice President of Ticket Sales & Service

Summary:

The Director of Ticket Sales will be responsible for increasing revenue, by hiring & training a group of 8-15 Account Executives at any given time. Core to this role is the ability to train, coach, and assist with the sales process of a team which includes prospecting, building relationships, and having a heavy focus on closing businesses at a high level. All these efforts are expected to be in coordination with the general process and focus of the entire ticket sales and service team for the Bucks and Fiserv Forum. It is expected that this role will lead their team to exceeding sales revenue goals, will ensure the appropriate tools are in place for their team and help prioritize objectives of the organization for their team as part of their coaching process. The Director of Ticket Sales will also have a focus on maintaining a pipeline of recruits as well as assisting heavily with the sales campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Account Executive Team to help them develop into high level B2B sellers, which is the main priority and focus which should be closer to a 60%/40% B2B/B2C book of business ratio.
  • Continue to strengthen the AE team culture by building a diverse, and inclusive sales team.
  • Increase ticket sales revenue and exceed Account Executive revenue goals with a primary focus selling season tickets, premium tickets, premium for special events, partial plans, etc.
  • Responsible for strategic call campaigns, scripting, events, and ticket packages that will result in the generation of revenue.
  • Work most of the Milwaukee Bucks home games, Concerts/Family Shows, and sales events to manage staff, drive business and generate new leads.
  • Work closely with all internal departments for cross-promotional initiatives.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all products to sell when applicable.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to achieving department and organizational goals along with a genuine desire to be a great teammate.
  • Proactively work closely with sales management to inspect the sales process quality and find opportunities for sales process improvement.
  • Assist sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies and facilitate recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Track sales, attend meetings with reps, track projections, day to day metrics and focus on holding the sales team accountable to assure sales goals are achieved.
  • Hold weekly one on ones with reps to review performance and sales pipelines.
  • Train and coach Account Executives and contribute to their continued professional development.
  • Handle leads on new season and partial plan campaigns

Qualifications

  • At least a bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 2 years management experience in a ticket sales or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years sales experience in a sports or related field.
  • Previous management of a team in a high-pressure sales environment.
  • Proven ability to train Account Executives.
  • High proficiency in both written and verbal communications (public speaking and presentation).
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Assertive, persistent, process and results oriented.
  • Strong time management, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Strong work ethic and high personal accountability.
  • Ability to be flexible, prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and staff needs.
  • Able to work flexible hours based on changing priorities including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently with sales team and peers on management team.
