Position Summary
The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for managing the procurement process of indirect materials and services required to run the business. Your role involves sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure that Milo's has a reliable supply of quality materials and services at competitive prices.
Ownership
Work with internal team members to determine indirect purchasing requirements for all areas of the business.
Source and evaluate potential suppliers of MRO supplies, corporate supplies, services, and equipment.
Negotiate pricing and payment terms with suppliers.
Create purchase orders and manage the purchase process from start to finish for indirect materials and services.
Assist in supplier management and onboarding processes.
Assist in updating quarterly supplier scorecards with necessary purchasing, sourcing, and quality information.
Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.
Monitor inventory levels and adjust procurement plans as needed.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Work with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices and address discrepancies.
Analyze procurement data and provide regular reports to management.
Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy, and MMAD volunteering opportunities.
Invests in and is an example of Milo's Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components.
This position has responsibilities essential to Food Safety.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
2 years of experience in procurement
Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain positive supplier relationships
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software
Knowledge of consumer packaged goods & manufacturing is a plus
