Your Role:
The Lead Maintenance Technician at MilliporeSigma in Sheboygan Falls, WI will provide mechanical technical support to the Media & Membrane Manufacturing Operations at the Sheboygan Site. Responsibilities to include the following duties and tasks:
- Execute all maintenance activities in support of production in a safe, cost-effective, and environmentally sound manner, ensuring capacity to achieve plant performance metrics.
- Provide mechanical maintenance expertise across the entire site
- Complete corrective and preventive maintenance work orders
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment
- Identify unsafe work conditions and report them to management
- Precision measuring equipment including conveyor alignment measurements for membrane production
- Use good documentation practices and complete all necessary documentation as per cGMP
- Direct contractors and other technicians in completing work
- Provide maintenance to Membrane equipment including powder transfer systems, mix vessels, die extrusion, membrane web handling systems, drying ovens, test machines, solvent recovery units, thermal oxidizers, heating and cooling systems, chemical store and tank farms
- Document and communicate SOPs, lock out/tag out procedures, equipment data, work order status, part requests
- Meet deadlines and manage maintenance projects
- Read, understand, and follow work instructions and procedures
- Use PC software and applications (CMMS, web browsers, Word, Excel, email)
- Operate industrial vehicles
- Read, redline, and understand all types of drawings/schematics
- Operate calibration equipment, hand tools, power tools, basic shop tools (grinder, drill press, sand blaster, band saw, etc.)
- Read gauges and understand units of measure
- Troubleshoot and identify electrical and mechanical parts needed for repair
- Use of laser alignment tool for motor and shaft installations
- Understand materials of construction and chemical compatibility
- Troubleshoot, install, and maintain electrical power and control circuits up to 480 volts
- Provide input into, and assist in the completion of, OPEX (Operational Excellence) projects to improve equipment reliability, automation, reduce lead-time and reduce EHS risks in the department
- Conduct miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned while contributing to department goals
- Must be available for weekend and holiday on-call duty
Who You Are
*Basic Qualifications:*

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical trade and/or controls certifications
- 6 years hands on maintenance experience
- 2 Years' experience with industrial production and utility equipment automation and controls
*Preferred Qualifications:*
**
- Associates Degree in applicable field
- Ability to read, one-line drawings, P&ID's, and understand all types of drawings/schematics
- Experience with maintaining equipment in a papermill or similar industry
- Demonstrated experience in preventive & predictive maintenance
- Knowledge of LEAN and 6S concepts
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
