About Chicago Life
The Chicago office of Milliman Inc. is looking for enthusiastic and qualified candidates to join its Complex Risk Solutions (CRS) practice. CRS has developed a set of leading risk modeling and data analysis tools that it uses to create financial quantification and support business decisions for leading institutions. CRS analyzed all operational risks including the impact of cyber attacks, third party risk/vendor risk, fraud, talent, and security. CRS also quantifies the risk of issuing insurance for these risks and the risk associated with insurance portfolios. CRS is seeking a Senior Associate that is able to support modeling, analytics, and delivery of these projects. This will involve using our leading proprietary risk analytics and modeling tools to deliver for clients.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop risk models using the tools that Milliman has developed
- Analyze risk events and test risk hypothesis with data analysis and risk modeling tools including tools that Milliman has specifically developed
- Research global risk events and identify data sets from associated with these events
- Use a programming language and/or statistical software to clean data and input it into CRS’ advanced data analysis tools to detect patterns and anomalies
- Assist with thought leadership efforts in explaining the data story and the usefulness of the tools
- Assist with cyber model research, coding, and development
- Conduct data acquisition efforts
- Assist with model implementation and configuration
- Assist with the collection and analysis of client data sets
- Support general CRS efforts
Education & Qualifications
- BA or BS in STEM, Finance, or Risk Management, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of statistics, modeling, coding and data analysis skills
