Position Overview
Our Executive Housekeeper, you will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the day-to-day activities of our housekeeping department to ensure quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided to hotel guests.
Responsibilities

• Hiring, training and coaching of the housekeeping and laundry staff while overseeing the scheduling, planning and facilitating of the daily stand up and/or department meetings.
• Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of the guest rooms’ furniture, fixtures, décor, etc. and assisting in the coordination of rehab projects.
• Ensures that work orders initiated by housekeeping department are properly reported and completed.
• Assigns special housekeeping projects as needed.
• Distributes and delegates workload to guarantee maximum production and guest satisfaction by monitoring house count and making staffing adjustments accordingly.
• Assigns and/or coordinates inventory audits of linens, towels and guest supplies.
• Develops and recommends the budget, labor cost plans and objectives and manages within those approved plans.
• Develops, implements and maintains effective associate recognition programs within the housekeeping department.
• Establishes and maintains adequate supplies for efficient operation of department.
• Supports the Hotel Lost & Found program, provides accurate records and ensures follow-up with guests as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.); or combination of education and experience.
• 5 years of hotel experience required, 2-3 years of housekeeping supervisor experience required.
• Previous experience with leadership of a team, business strategies, budgets, financial statements, inventories, and scheduling. OSHA standards preferred.
• Knowledge of OPERA system preferred but not mandatory.
