Responsibilities

Millennium Corporation is hiring a Lead Scrum Master to work remotely (preferably East Coast).Candidate must have at least an active Secret Clearance. 

• Work in an agile environment and manage sprints by pulling different elements together to ensure project stays on time moves and in the right direction
• Work to clear obstacles impeding the team’s progress, facilitate a good relationship between the team and product owners and protect team members from outside distractions.
• Communicates with both the development team and customer
• Leads and demonstrates value-added principles to teams
• Ensures Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to; must be able to be a voice of reason while enabling the team to self-organize and innovate
• Continually seeks improvements for self, team, and client organization by learning new tools and techniques
• Facilitates discussion, effectively encourages alternatives or different approaches, and engages the team to reach consensus and actionable direction from discussions
• Brings disclosure and transparency about the project to the PM and customer
• Works with Product Owner and team to groom product backlog
• Works with customers and team leads to outline release plans
• Analyzes and prepares written reports on program and project performance using qualitative analyses
• Execute all efforts in a collaborative and Scaled Agile fashion while adhering to government mandated fixed due dates
• Responsible for meeting Program Increment (~12week) deadlines to implement and enhance team capabilities
• Work with Agile teams (developers, testers, operators, and other production IT staff to oversee code releases and deployments of capability.
• Foster agile relationship between software development and IT operations, establish and refine Continuous Integration (CI) and automation (key processes, release schedules, and infrastructure designs) so that organization can create and release regular updates to products quickly and efficiently as possible.
• Attend and Participate in Periodic Large Scale Agile Planning events.
• Support standard Agile ritual meetings (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives) as necessary and assist Scrum teams in execution of Sprints.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience as an IT team leader or Scrum Master
• Possess a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) SAFE practitioner (SP), or equivalent
• Experience with project management, agile, scrum, and/or lean principles
• Experience developing schedules and Work Breakdown Structures
• Experience with obtaining and analyzing metrics
• Strong coaching, influencing and communication skills
• A passion for quality and commitment to customer satisfaction
• Capable of working closely with development teams
• Ability to remove barriers from production teams (i.e., development, infrastructure, documentation and escalate issues where appropriate)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced project implementation environment

Business Development

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

• Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
