We are seeking a Financial Aid Manager to support our growing student population as they pursue their undergraduate and graduate-level business programs. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Administrative and Financial Affairs and will work closely with the Executive Campus Director. Monday to Friday schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Administers of all aspects of student financial services, including planning, and budget development.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations pertaining to the administration of federal, state, institutional and private financial aid programs, keeping abreast of frequently changing requirements.
  • Directs scholarship, grant-in-aid, and student loan programs to provide financial assistance to students.
  • Determines types and amounts of aid available based on eligibility.
  • Manage and oversees the college veterans’ programs.
  • Interviews students applying for financial aid, such as loans, grants-in-aid, or scholarships, to determine eligibility for assistance in college or university. Assists students and parents with the completion of the FAFSA, enter information and review ISIR, and assign the appropriate budget to a student
  • Confers with individuals and groups to disseminate information and answer questions relating to financial assistance available to students enrolled in college or university.
  • Engages in, organizes and oversees student financial counseling activities.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Keeps the CFO appropriately informed of issues, which affect the agency's services, policies, and/or procedures.
  • Assists in the coordination of the University’s responses to any internal/external audits related to financial aid activities.
  • Coordinates financial aid activities to ensure compliance with federal laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Interfaces, coordinates and assists with the University’s third party servicer to enter information electronically, process aid and maintain reporting systems.
  • Fulfill annual 8 CEU requirements by the Florida Commission on Independent Education (CIE) and the minimum training required by US DOE.
  • Additional duties related to the job may be assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in college or university Financial Aid office, private college experience would be preferable.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations, needs analysis and packaging principles, and available financial aid programs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community.
  • Ability to think, reason, and make sound judgments on how responsibilities are to be completed in compliance with university standards and guidelines.
  • Unquestionable integrity and a strong sense of professional ethics.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred.
