We’re looking for a People Business Partner to lead & develop our people-focused programs, and implement policies and practices to improve and scale our employee experience and support our culture. Our ideal candidate will have experience with fast-growing companies, a passion for building and evolving talented & diverse teams, an ability to use data to inform and innovate decisions about our people programs and experience managing and expanding the fundamentals of a great employee experience, including: onboarding, benefits & compensation, org design that fuels great business and enabling career growth for our teams.

As the People Business Partner you will: 

• Provide strategic partnership and counsel to the leadership team on all things people-related.
• Ensure everything we do in the People Team supports our mission, and our culture. 
• Develop, implement & evolve employee processes and procedures, while addressing engagement, retention and career growth needs.
• Lead, grow and develop an innovative People Team, who feel empowered to help us deliver on our business goals 
• Enable our teams to work effectively, supported by effective people processes including compensation, talent development, performance management, employee relations, and organizational design.
• Provide performance management guidance to management and senior leaders.
• Continuously seek to identify, improve, and automate workflows to improve the management and accessibility of key analytical data that informs our people programs 
• Exercise discretion while working with highly confidential information
• Be an ambassador for our culture and our company

Ideally you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Employment Law Degree
• 5 years in people operations
• Experience using data to inform people programming and decision-making
• Exceptional communication skills, writing skills, interpersonal skills, and ethical mindset
• Extensive knowledge of HR policies and systems
• The ability to zoom in and out. A strong strategic mindset with detail-oriented execution
• A knack for learning quickly and a passion to help equip people be their best selves at work

The estimated base salary range for this position is $130k to $175k, which does not include the value of benefits or a potential equity grant. A wide range of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, market conditions, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and business and organizational needs. At Mill, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
