Milestone Business Solutions is seeking a full-time, remote Payroll Coordinator to partner with our expanding list of unique, notable, up-and-coming, and just plain awesome clients.

What You’ll Do

As part of our newly-formed and quickly growing HR Services Implementation team, you are our first impression with new and expanding Milestone clients. You will play an integral role in onboarding new clients, payroll system implementation projects, and completing employer state tax audits and registrations. Plus, you’ll gain hands-on experience when our Payroll Specialists and Manager have extra client work or need backup.

A Day in the Life

  • Work with the Payroll Manager and Specialists to effectively onboard new clients.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all payroll-related systems used by our clients (including 401k and HRIS) to serve clients' needs now and recommend others that may better suit their business in the future.
  • Working with clients and the payroll team to transition clients’ payroll cadence, complete system upgrades, and implement new payroll/HRIS software.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports

Payroll Milestones Under Your Belt

  • At least 1 year of direct, hands-on payroll experience
  • Experience working with multi-state companies/clients required.
  • A beginner's knowledge of payroll compliance
  • Direct experience completing employer state and unemployment registrations.
  • Excellent time management, organization skills, and strict adherence to deadlines are a must.
  • Experience in some or all of the following systems is highly preferred.
    • Gusto
    • Paylocity
    • Rippling
    • ADP
    • Quickbooks
    • Paychex
    • iSolved
    • Paycom
