Director of Nursing (DON) Hours: Full Time Licensure: Texas RN License Summary: • The Director of Nursing (DON) is a management level nursing position that maintains direct contact with patients and integration with patient care. • Will be responsible for the orientation and continuing education of the nursing staff. • Maintains an ongoing quality assurance program • Assists in planning the nursing services portion of resident discharge plans • Serves on and participates in care-related committees as needed • Lead others through actions consistent with and serve our culture • Participates in facility surveys by government agencies Qualifications: • Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility • 1 year of Director of Nursing (DON)/ Management experience • Current RN license in the State of Texas. • Service-oriented (positive, enthusiastic, empathetic and respectful demeanor) • Able to handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner • Capable of organizing tasks and managing multiple priorities Garrison Geriatric Education & Care Center is Lubbock’s premier location for short-term rehabilitation and long-term care.
