Milacron is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team near Tyler, Texas. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing quality installations, maintenance, and repairs of plastic injection/extrusion equipment. Breakdowns will require troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components and circuits. A person who has installed, repaired, troubleshot robotics, major machine tooling, plastic injection molding machines, blow molding machines or extrusion machines would be a great fit for this position.

What you’ll do:

• Troubleshoot and repair plastic injection/extrusion equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment (strong knowledge of motor & pump controls).
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.
• Support customers by effectively interfacing with customer and office in repairing equipment as needed.
• Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs.
• Provide a high level of communication with both Customer and Office.
• Install computer software programs to manufactured machines.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Basic Requirements:

• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Industrial Electricity, Electronic Engineering technology or related field or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience.
• Minimum two years’ experience in hydraulics, mechanics, and/or similar skillsets.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Great to Haves:

• Two or more years of work experience in plastic injection/extrusion equipment or similar types of equipment or machine tool.
• Machining and welding skills.
• Proven Mechanical and electrical skills.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprint and electrical schematics.
• Have and maintain a good driving record and cannot be afraid of heights.
• Overtime and out of town travel is necessary.
• Experience in repair and troubleshooting of Military electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatics of complex systems.
• High degree of understanding of installing computer software programs as they pertain to manufactured machines.
