Sales Development Manager

Summary of Functions

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, the Sales Development Manager (SDM) will work with the Sales team to implement key sales and product initiatives focused on Franchise Sales Growth, Fleet & HD, VS7 Chemical & Equipment, OE Dealerships, and Car Appearance Products. The SDM will invest their time providing training and sales support to the Mighty Franchise System (Mighty franchise location across the U.S.) and explore new sales initiatives. This position can be remote with a strong emphasis on travel.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Training & Support

  • Travel to franchise locations to provide sales training visits and field support
  • Recommend new sales tools, brochures, and national incentives
  • Participate in Sales Training programs:
    • New Sales School
    • Online Training & Mighty University
    • Advanced Sales Schools, Zoom Sales Meetings, and Sales Road Shows when applicable

VS7 Chemical Program

  • Manage and grow the VS7 Chemical and Equipment Program
  • Seek to become the preferred chemical vendor with National Regional Accounts
  • Regularly monitor and recommend updates to the VS7 Online Certification
  • Suggest new products to the Product Department for consideration

Car Appearance Products Program

  • Assist in developing a national campaign to launch and grow the new Car Appearance Products Program
  • Work with Sales team to implement a training program for Mighty franchises and customers
  • Suggest new products to the Product Department for consideration
  • Champion the program once in place

OE Dealership Support

  • Participate/lead in Kick Off meetings
  • Assist in development manageable used car reconditioning programs
  • Assist in VS7 Chemical Programs
  • Assist in Car Appearance Programs
  • Advisor & Technician training for OE car dealerships on Mighty products/programs

Fleet & HD Sales Support

  • Work with the National Fleet Sales Manager to grow overall fleet & HD sales
  • Work with NFM to support fleet & HD sales tools to increase Fleet awareness amongst the Mighty Franchise System
  • Support and develop National Fleet & HD accounts

Experience, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Requirements

  • Proven sales success in a B2B environment
  • Proven track record of sales, customer management, and new account success
  • Strong presentation, communication, and customer service/management skills
  • Time management skills
  • 8 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket or equivalent outside sales experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Strong personal desire to achieve results

Educational Requirements

Preferred 4-year bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience

Working Conditions

Daily office hours are normally between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend responsibilities. A hybrid, work from home some days, or completely remote schedule is optional for this.
