MidWestOne Bank is searching for the next leaders in Commercial/Agricultural Lending or Credit Management! As a Management Trainee, you will work in a hands-on learning environment with our leaders in Credit Management and Lending who will provide you with the guidance, mentoring, and support you need to be successful and thrive. You will also learn the importance of what it means to be a community bank and how to build relationships built on integrity and great care.

Our Management Trainee Program is a full-time employment opportunity for business graduates or related fields of study. Over the course of a 12-18-month period, you’ll gain in-depth training and professional development in several different areas of our community bank, all with an eventual career focus in Credit Management or Commercial/Agricultural Lending. And most importantly you’ll learn firsthand what it means to take care of our customers and those who should be. 

Responsibilities

• As an MTP candidate, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a dedicated project or individual analysis of a business need within the Bank. Upon this being identified, you will be asked to present your project to members of our lending team.
• You will learn the foundation of how to prepare and support a loan presentation summary. With the guidance and mentoring of a seasoned lender, you will also make a loan presentation at MidWestOne’s Senior Loan Committee. As a management trainee, you’ll be asked to summarize your experience by presenting to our MidWestOne Senior Management Committee.
• You will get an indepth look into each divison within MidWestOne Bank so that you can get a full view of community banking.

Qualifications

• Must be currently pursuing college degree in business or related field. Must be graduated by Spring 2023.
• Experience and knowledge in fundamental accounting and finance preferred.
• Interest in banking and/or Ag/Commercial lending as a career preferred.
