Pre-Construction Project Manager

Location: Lincoln or Omaha, NE

The Midwest Petroleum Equipment team is seeking a professional, detailed oriented and reliable Pre-Construction Project Manager to join our strong Construction and Installation division. The Pre-Construction Project Manager will coordinate sub-contractor scheduling and oversee all aspects of material handling for a variety of fuel system related projects. This position will require maintaining strong employee, customer, and subcontractor relationships along with a strong understanding in construction concepts, practices, and procedures.

Job Duties:

  • Review project documents (i.e Scope of Work, Testing, etc) to develop detailed project folders
  • Conduct site visits, surveys, and safety inspections as necessary
  • Hold pre-project meetings with construction team and subs (on or off-site) to coordinate projects
  • Obtain proper permits for various jobs
  • Create and submit project compliance documentation
  • Oversight of parts receiving/staging for all projects
    • Ensure parts are labeled and staged appropriately
    • Ensure takeoffs are accurate and provided to warehouse personnel
    • Communicate with construction manager when all job materials are received
    • Coordinate mobilization of parts and equipment to the job site
  • Review of project success
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to be onsite per MPE work schedule
  • Attend pre-job conferences with an emphasis on verification of parts, equipment, and scope of work
  • Verify to ensure job site signs are properly installed and utilized
  • Verify permitting for all aspects of projects & verify CAD drawings are being used on all jobs

Requirements:

  • Ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and employees
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and complete projects on time
  • Excellent analytical and computer skills
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to successfully pass a required background & drug screen

Education and Qualifications:

  • 1-3 Years of experience/background in construction project management
  • Degree in Construction Management or equivalent preferred
  • Experience with construction scheduling software
