Midwest Fuel Injection was founded in 1981 and located in our state-of-the-art ISO Certified corporate office in Bolingbrook, IL. We have aggressive plans to continue to grow nationally beyond our 13 U.S. locations. We are a privately held business and a National leader in Diesel Fuel Pumps, Injectors, Turbochargers, and many other Diesel products serving the Diesel Pickup, Heavy-Duty, Agriculture, Marine, Passenger Car, and other markets.

We are currently looking for a Full-Time Warehouse Assistant who will help in all aspects of our warehouse. The ideal candidate must be a hardworking, self-starter that is able to work in a fast paced environment and have excellent multi-tasking skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of the Warehouse Assistant

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for discrepancies and damages and report problems promptly to the appropriate person.
• Prepare items accurately for shipment according to customer orders/instructions by retrieving from the warehouse, packaging and documenting correct shipment details.
• Store materials and supplies within the warehouse according to part number and/or description by safely performing physical tasks such as lifting, carrying and stacking by hand or safely using material handling equipment.
• Sign for incoming deliveries, load and unload delivery trailers/trucks by hand or with material handling equipment as needed.
• Maintain shipping and receiving documentation in a neat and orderly manner.
• Perform light maintenance duties such as mopping, sweeping, cleaning windows, taking out garbage on a daily basis.
• Load and unload company truck for order deliveries as assigned,
• Report shipping and receiving details to the appropriate department on a regular and timely basis.
• Maintain the warehouse and receiving area in a safe and orderly manner.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS of the Warehouse Assistant

• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds.

Requirements

• Prior Forklift experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Fed-Ex preferred
• Knowledge of AS400 system helpful but not required.
