MIDTOWN DENTAL is Hiring a Dental Office Receptionist Near New York, NY

We are in search of a motivated and professional individual to join our team as a Dental Office Receptionist. Our ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of out of network insurance reimbursements, exceptional communication and treatment presentation skills, great interpersonal skills, impeccable organizational abilities, and the capacity to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The primary responsibilities of this position include delivering outstanding customer service and managing patient information for patients with out of network insurance plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check-in patients, schedule appointments, and answer phone calls in a warm and friendly manner
  • Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and collect payments
  • Maintain patient records and update patient information accurately and efficiently
  • Assist with insurance claims and billing inquiries to ensure smooth and timely reimbursement
  • Ensure ledgers are up-to-date and accurate for proper record-keeping
  • Communicate effectively with patients, dentists, and other team members to ensure excellent customer service
  • Follow up with patients to confirm appointments and answer any questions they may have
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area to provide a pleasant patient experience
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the practice manager or dentist.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or Associate with experience
  • Previous dental office experience strongly preferred
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and dental software
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
