Midcon Cables Company, a leading provider of cabling and wire interconnect solutions for the defense and aerospace industry has immediate openings for a Receiving Inspector on day shift at our facility in North Myrtle Beach, SC.

The Receiving Inspector will be expected to receive, quality check, label and store all incoming inventory. Compare quantity and part number of items received and other specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of order.

Inspect purchased parts & materials for conformance to specifications. Examine items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit. Inspect and measure items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation, according to prints, company standards, and other specifications. Approve or reject items, and records inspection information. Follow instructions, work without direct supervision and continually look for ways to improve the inspection efficiency.

This position requires an individual who possesses good people skills for working relationship between other inspectors, Engineers, and production floor personnel.

Experience in cable assembly, the ability to read and interpret drawings (including schematics), and ability to use inspection instruments (such as scale, tape measure, micrometers, calipers, etc.) is preferred. Be able to understand military specifications and customer requirements. Quality inspection, Cable assembly, receiving, or Quality inspection experience is a plus. Position requires good computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Excel/Word as well as the ability to learn new software programs.
