Responsibilities:

1. Accurately assign medical codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services.
2. Prepare and submit insurance claims for reimbursement.
3. Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits.
4. Generate patient statements and process payments.
5. Resolve billing discrepancies and insurance claim issues.
6. Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and coding standards.
7. Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries.
8. Maintain accurate records of billing activities and accounts receivable.

Requirements:

1. Certification as a Medical Biller (e.g., CMRS, CPC).
2. Proficiency in medical coding systems (ICD-10-CM, CPT).
3. Familiarity with insurance billing processes and regulations.
4. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
5. Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
6. Experience with billing software and electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
