MicroTech is Hiring an IT (Help Desk) Support Specialist Near Tysons, VA

Overview

The IT Support Specialist position is an accomplished job function within the IT organization. The position is to provide Tier 1-3 support as well as the oversight operations and management of the IT systems. The qualified candidate will have the requisite knowledge and technical experience to maintain the existing IT infrastructure as well as the aptitude to provide support for the existing infrastructure. 

Responsibilities

Duties will include administration and maintenance of an Active Directory based infrastructure comprised of a combination of physical & virtual servers, SAN’s and networking equipment. The successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate an understanding of a variety of technologies and will have the ability to make recommendations for and to implement infrastructure efficiencies. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with a minimum of 1 year of IT l experience.
  • Must have functional knowledge of a variety of IT systems 
  • Strong Customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform local travel
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Industry recognized certification with continuing education (CE) is highly desired
