Micro Metals, Inc. is looking for a shipping manager to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. The Management position oversees the packaging of products in accordance with the Company’s quality control processes which effectively assures the department, company and customer standards are reached. The Shipping Manager is in charge of managing subordinate employees, implementing and updating policies, maintaining company standards, procedures and practices while facilitating continuous improvement. 

Job Responsibilities

Ensures the packaging department is in compliance with the current quality policy, company standards, and regulatory/external standards.

Ensures all packaged goods are shipped within the appropriate time frames, in the proper quantities to the correct locations.

Maintains packaging data and appropriate records.

Supervise shipping department staff including assigning personnel to specific stations during shifts, determining staffing requirements for busy seasons.

Sets Packaging objectives and ensures that targets are achieved.

Process work orders, invoices, weekly shipping reports, storage and delivery requirements.

Maintains established relationship with shipping companies to ensure they are following all transportation requirements and regulations.

Place supply orders as needed for company use. 

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, plus a minimum of five years’ experience in related field

Previous experience with Microsoft applications and data entry

Exceptional organizational skills and ability to delegate

Detail-oriented and reliable

Great verbal and written communication skills
