Micro Metals, Inc. is Hiring a Payroll Clerk Near Colorado Springs, CO

Description

Purpose

Performs a variety of detailed payroll duties in accordance with standard accounting procedures under the general supervision and guidance of the Controller. Assures timelines are met with the highest attention to detail.

Role and Responsibilities

· Prepares daily, weekly, quarterly, and monthly payroll and labor reports

· Processing payroll on a bi-weekly basis

· Setting up benefits for new hires and open enrollment

· Maintaining payroll system with updating and entering data

· Accurately, appropriately, and timely replies to employee payroll requests

· Updates and maintains employee payroll information

· Compiling reports and spreadsheets and preparing spreadsheets as requested

· New Hire process; orientation, and serving as a point person for all new employee questions

· Maintaining current HR files 

· Cross-trains and acts as back-up on the AP/AR functions

· Complete special projects as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications and Education Requirements

High school diploma, GED, trade school, or equivalent

Payroll or Accounting experience preferred

Must be able to operate PC

ADA Requirements

Must be able to work in an office setting, sitting in one place for up to two (2) hours without getting up. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Must be able to abide by safety rules where applicable, including but not limited to wearing close-toed shoes and safety glasses.
