To be an effective team member of the Commercial Lines Processing Department. To provide quality support services to Farm Bureau Insurance agents and underwriters.
Enter data into corporate systems for new business, reinstatements, endorsements, cancellations and renewal items. Ensure proper coding on all transactions. Verify the accuracy of data to be input, checking for valid codes, correct entries, and entries that may be inconsistent with history file information.
Input relevant pre-assigned classification information to automated system for determination of premiums to be charged for policy coverage.
Follow exception processing guidelines.
Required: High school diploma or equivalent required. One to three years’ experience required. Computer experience required. Keyboarding skills of 45-50 wpm with accuracy required. Ability to learn quickly required. Willingness to pursue continuing job-related training and education required.
Preferred: Associate’s degree preferred with focus on insurance, business administration, finance or management. General knowledge of insurance preferred. AINS, API and/or AIS designation preferred, or completion within two years of hire required.
