Michael Szwed acquired Master Jewelers in 2012 and has been providing the community with superior customer service and jewelry expertise ever since. Michael and his staff are eager to provide you with the very finest in diamonds, colored stones, fine jewelry, custom designs, watches, gifts, exceptional service and more!

Michael has over twenty-five years of experience in the jewelry industry with accomplished skills in Gemology, Jewelry Repair, Diamond Setting, Custom Design, Appraisals and Watch Repair. Michael prides himself on his extensive knowledge of repairs using the most current technology with a laser welding machine. This allows for repairs of hard-to-reach places, difficult metals such as platinum and even some non-traditional metals.

Michael had an early start learning many of his skills working in his family’s jewelry store in Connecticut, Swede's Jewelers, which continues to serve its community after 75 years. It is there where Michael met his current Store Manager, Jenn Blais. Jenn joined the Michael Szwed Jewelers family in 2019 and brings with her over 20 years of experience as well as a Graduate Gemology degree from the Gemological Institute of America.

Job Brief

We are looking for a responsible, results-driven, and highly motivated Jewelry Sales Associate who is ready to take on all sales responsibilities from providing appropriate product solutions for our customers to nurturing them through the purchase flow from start to finish. Our ideal candidate will uphold the ideals and standards of our company and will constantly strive to meet all sales goals and exceed customer expectations. Responsibilities

• Welcomes customers by greeting them.
• Advises customers by providing information on products.
• Sell merchandise to consistently meet or exceed sales expectations.
• Provide outstanding customer service and a high-quality shopping experience to grow customer base.
• Documents sale by creating or updating customer profile records.
• Processes payments by totaling purchases; processing checks, cash, and store or other credit cards.
• Keeps clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Understand and utilize policies and procedures to be proficient in handling customer transactions and solving customer service issues appropriately.
• Perform store set up and closing operations, including opening and closing office area and moving jewelry to and from store safe and display areas.
• Perform basic store maintenance, merchandising, and other required activities to keep store clean, safe and inviting.

Requirements

• Listening and Customer Service, Meeting Sales Goals, Selling to Customer Needs, Product Knowledge, People Skills, Energy Level, Dependability, General Math Skills, Verbal Communication, Job Knowledge Strong communication & organizations skills required.
• Previous experience in jewelry or luxury sales preferred.

PAY: Base pay and commission structure.
