MHG HOTELS - Corporate Office is Hiring a Senior Construction Project Manager Near Indianapolis, IN

If you are interested in working with a team of seasonedconstruction veterans with more than forty years in the industry, the Senior ProjectManager position is the opportunity for you. Join our team and make adifference by assisting our Project Managers with estimating, planning,preparing, and executing projects. As a Senior Project Manager, you will, manage,supervise, and complete projects according to quality standards, deadlines andbudget while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction. Projectmanager acquires resources and coordinates the efforts of team members,principals, and subcontractors to deliver projects according to plan and budget.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will:

  • Coordinate, direct, and schedule vendors and subcontractors.
  • Solicit subcontractors and material vendors for project bids.
  • Attend coordination meetings with owners and project teams!
  • Communicate status of project schedule and budget to key project stakeholders.
  • Participate in final walk through and check list, including site visits.
  • Oversee subcontractor selections, RFIs, and submittals.

Preferred Skills include:

  • Experience using Procore.
  • Experience using Microsoft Projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - Including Microsoft Teams
  • Experience using Bluebeam or like take-off software.
  • 6-7 years working in construction industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction technology, or related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with project management software.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Highly relational, works well with others.
  • Effectively reads, understand contract documents, Spec’s, Arch, Struct, etc.
  • Effectively reads, understands, and executes contracts and purchase orders.
  • Develop / Maintain thorough product and industry specific knowledge.
  • Understanding/Ability to prepare accurate proposals and quote requests.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Obtain and keep current all required certifications including but not limited to OSHA, CCS, etc.

Physical Requirements:

·Physical Requirements:

·Prolonged periodssitting at a desk and working on a computer

·Must be able to liftup to 15 pounds at times

·Able to travel toconstruction site

·Able to be outside inhot and cold weather for various periods of time

Education and Experience:

·Bachelor’s degreepreferred, with 10 years commercial construction experience

·Proficient in readingand understanding construction documents (architectural, structural,mechanical, specifications, etc.)

·Experience with MetalPanels, Railings, and Skylights a plus

·Experience withmanagement of multiple subcontractors and material suppliers a plus

·Proficiency managingmultiple concurrent projects, on time installation, and within budget

To be successful in this role, youneed a professional demeanor, and must be able to engage easily and activelyconnect with others. Have natural instincts for problem solving. Speak withothers using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positiveworking relationships with others, support team and to reach common goals, andlisten and respond appropriately to all stakeholders. Clean professionalappearance. Open to traveling if necessary.

This rolerequires standing, walking, or sitting for long periods of time, or entireshift. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats(i.e. small print). Grasp, turn and manipulate objects of varying sizeand weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Move, lift,carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds withoutassistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance. Move up anddown stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders. Reach overhead and below knees,including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonablejob duties as requested by Supervisors. Typical schedule is Monday-Friday,eight hours per day.
