What you’ll do: The Risk Manager will administer the Risk Management Information System (RMIS); manage the insurance renewal process; oversee the actuarial analyses process; act as a liaison between the risk management team, insurance brokers, insurance carriers, and actuaries; prepare financial analysis reports for senior management; oversee the vendor certificate of insurance compliance process and review exceptions; advise properties regarding insurance issues and questions; track incoming litigation; and manage the Risk Management Coordinator. Your job will include: Administer the Risk Management Information System (RMIS): Access, training, reporting, resolution of issues Entry of exposures and values information Analysis of data for loss trending, risk and reserve forecasting Manage the insurance renewal process: Compile, maintain and report exposures Ongoing updates to property statement of values Lead the survey of properties including follow up to ensure accurate information is gathered and reported Provide loss information Track and review binders, invoices and policies for accuracy Ensure all policies are received and stored electronically Oversee the actuarial analyses process: Compile and report exposures Provide loss information Review draft reports and identify any issues Coordinate responses on any claim questions Reconcile results with accounting and general ledger information Track actuarial trends and adjustments Act as a liaison between the risk management team, insurance brokers, insurance carriers and actuaries. Prepare financial analysis reports for senior management. Oversee the vendor certificate of insurance compliance process and review exceptions. Advise properties regarding insurance issues and questions. Track incoming litigation, ensure directed to appropriate team members and confirm timely responses. Manage the Risk Management Coordinator. Experience & skills you need: Bachelor’s degree and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) with at least five years of accounting, financial analyst or actuarial experience and risk management, broker or insurance experience, or a combination of education and equivalent experience. Strong accounting, financial analysis and/or actuarial skills. Proficient in the advanced use of Excel and PowerPoint. Experienced in the use and administration of a Risk Management Information System (RMIS). Excellent communications skills including strong writing skills for reports to senior management. Ability to work internally and externally with various functional areas and levels, including accounting, auditing, financial reporting, operations, legal, actuaries, insurance brokers and insurance carriers. Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing based on company needs. Attention to detail. Desire to learn.
