Job DetailsMGO is growing and we need an experienced, knowledgeable and professional IT Operations Manager to join our team team. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate asset management with the Asset Deployment team
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT
  • Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure

Essential Functions:

  • Coach, counsel, train, and supervises IT Operations Technicians.
  • Establish, manage and enforcing Service Desk Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to support timely resolution to service request tickets.
  • As process owner for Incident Management, drives the efficiency and effectiveness of the Incident Management process, monitors its effectiveness, and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Holds IT Technicians responsible for the end user experience when handling system upgrades, troubleshooting, and creating a corrective action plan.
  • Provides technical assistance and support to Firm executives with hardware and other application questions and problems to maximize productivity. Troubleshoots hardware and software issues on personal computers, workstations, and printers.
  • Oversees the hardware configuration and distribution process.
  • Develops and produces reports; analyzes metrics for trends and identification of problem areas; and recommends mitigation to senior management.
  • Coordinates equipment and software repairs with IT Assets Technician as needed. Assists the IT Assets Technician in maintaining accurate inventories.
  • Consults with end users to determine hardware, software or system needs and specifications. Places orders for new equipment upon approval. Assists in evaluating new technology/processes in relation to lowering costs or improving services.
  • Manages within department operating and capital budgets. Remains knowledgeable of and explains budget variances. Approves purchase orders/expenditures ensuring expenses remain within budget.
  • Works with Service Line Leaders and Department Leaders to design and lead our IT integration team during mergers and acquisitions.
  • Works with Facilities team to ensure all office equipment are maintained and operating effectively.

  • Moderate overtime required throughout the year
  • Heavy sitting for extended periods in front of a computer
  • Ability to lift up-to 20 lbs. and move computer equipment
  • Travel, including overnight, may be required approximately 10% of time
  • Minimal Hazards

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will possess a minimum of five years work experience in Information Technology, preferably in a Help Desk environment, with one year experience in a management role supervising staff
  • Individuals with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information technology and a minimum of five years experience working in a Help Desk environment will also be considered.
  • Candidates must have demonstrated knowledge and background in Help Desk operations and Windows-based workstations and related peripherals. Help Desk Manager Certification is a plus (CSS, Certified Support Supervisor certificate from the Service Capability & Performance (SCP) Standards board).
  • Experience with any or all of the following considered a plus: Citrix networking environments; Wireless devices including PDAs and Cell Phones; application software such as Microsoft Office, Acrobat, and networking equipment.
  • Previous supervisory experience with the ability to delegate tasks as necessary is preferred.
  • Requires solid technical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Remains calm under pressure and maintains self-composure/self-control in times of high stress.
  • Is self-directed and demonstrates initiative.
