Overview

The Tax Accountant will assist the Tax and Treasury Director with the management of the income tax function and preparations for all Partnerships owned and controlled by MG and its affiliates.

Responsibilities

• Ability to prepare, organize and coordinate the federal and state income tax return process for the company’s 50 entities each year to assure timely filing and distribution of K-1’s to partners.
• Calculate and prepare journal entries for book/tax differences
• Must be able to assist Tax and Treasury Director in coordinating with outside CPA’s and consultants.
• Reviewing fixed asset additions throughout the year
• Filing all quarterly state income tax and withholding form.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• CPA/Enrolled Agent preferred
• Minimum of 2-5 years of real estate/partnership tax experience
• Income tax experience
• Real estate planning and preparation
• Competency in all areas of Subchapter K
• Experience with multi-tiered real estate partnership structures and allocations
• Strong knowledge of Excel
• Independent, self-motivated and deadline oriented

• Excellent communication and personal skills
• Ability to supervise and motivate staff in a positive manner within a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment
• Dependable, organized and displays good follow-up

This position offers $75,000-$95,000 plus excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, paid time off, and more!
