We are in need of a Level 2 Network Engineer. This person will be traveling to multiple locations around the Bay Area. This is a contract position for 6 months with availability for W2 or C2C.

What you will be doing:

• Provisions customers on the IP Network
• Provisions changes to harden the network with security features
• Updates customer records
• Provisions IPTV and Voice over IP infrastructure
• Troubleshoots with external departments concerning network problem resolution
• Performs system maintenance during overnight maintenance windows
• Adheres to regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
• Performs other duties as assigned

What you will need:

• Associate’s Degree (AA) or Bachelor’s Degree (BA) or 5-7 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field.
• Professional level vendor certifications in one or more of these technologies, Cisco, Ciena, Zhone, HP, Palo Alto, is strongly preferred.
• Must possess a thorough understanding of Enterprise and Carrier networking technologies including Cisco, Ciena, Zhone, HP, Palo Alto
• Must be willing to work unsupervised, spot potential issues and make the necessary recommendations or decisions to avoid them
• Proof of higher level reasoning skills, critical thinking, and mental acuity will be required as determined by a standardized employment test.
• Computer Skills - Database Software, Design Software, Order Processing Systems, Project Management Software, Spreadsheet Software, Word Processing Software.
