Local delivery has become extremely important in order for businesses and has further boomed over the last year. MetroSpeedy has experienced increased demand and is expanding. Responsibilities

As an Operations Manager you will work closely with our customers and assist with day to day operations. We are looking for someone who can assist with running customer programs, hitting key targets and KPIs, and supporting the Director of Operations.

• Identify, set, execute, analyze and report on all procedures, processes and workflow to support the company’s goals in all operating areas
• Work with operations support to ensure that optimal staffing levels are set throughout the company and all departments have sufficient resources and procedures for proper employee training
• Work with management team to assess physical assets and how they can be maintained, repaired, or upgraded
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams as necessary to support revenue and customer service
• Hire, train and develop new members within your division to support logistics and other operations responsibilities
• Work with management team to identify and implement tools and systems that would maximize performance of your division
• Work with management team to identify metrics in order to evaluate and report on Company’s operating performance
• Identify and bring to management's attention tactical or strategic opportunities outside the scope of your responsibilities
• Exceed Company’s operating goals to maximize output
• Establish cost savings, containment and process improvement programs
• Manage crisis to identify and rectify issues in a timely manner and offer resolutions
• Improve operating procedures to increase profits and/or make the organization more efficient.
• Assist with developing and implementing short and long-term business, operation, and maintenance plans.
• Manage and conduct administrative oversight for field supervisors, delegating tasks and monitoring performance.
• Analyze and improve courier output on a hourly/daily/weekly basis to ensure profitability
• Manage courier on-boarding, training programs and improve on-the-job training to maintain a standard of exceptional courier experience
• Manage and conduct administrative oversight for field mechanic(s) responsible for fleet management, including parts inventory
• Dispatching (if/when needed), fulfilling deliveries (if/when needed), and conducting courier audits.
• Managing cost to revenue
• Preparing timely and accurate performance reports
• Delegating responsibilities to ensure members grow as capable participants. Developing and encouraging growth opportunities within the organization is vital to our companies success

Qualifications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field (preferred)
• 2 years of experience in a leadership role
• 2 years of experience in the delivery/transportation sector
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Effective decision making skills
• Experience with team work settings
• Willingness to assist cross functionally and help other team members where needed
