Metropawlitan Petsitters is a professional pet sitting company serving the Arlington, Alexandria and Falls Church Area. We are looking for an administrative assistant/Scheduler to join our team in our office. This person will work to support the daily operations of the business. The ideal candidate will live in the no Arlington, Alexandria or Falls Church Area. We prefer to have someone who lives in the area and/or has extensive pet care experience 


The ideal candidate is a high-energy individual with excellent organizational skills, a strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communications. This position is mainly working remotely. However, there will be times where you will need to meet in person or fill in for a pet sitter. Since we are a small company, you will wear multiple hats. We want the individual to

-Own a reliable, insured, registered and inspected car

Responsibilities:

  • Field inbound communications - Answer phone calls/general email inquiries and route to the appropriate internal parties as needed.
  • Coordinate scheduling - Coordinating the daily schedules of our dog walkers and pet sitters
  • Organize internal resources - Build out and maintain processes to keep files organized and easily accessible.
  • Communicate policies and procedures - Alert Independent Contractors of new processes, rules and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years experience as an administrative assistant, secretary or receptionist preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Positive, high-energy attitude
  • Resourcefulness, creativity, and problem-solving skill set
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel and PowerPoint)
