Responsibilities

The Contract Paralegal for our Headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona will be responsible for vendor contract administrationk, in addition to: 

• Review, analyze and monitor a high volume of construction, land, and various other vendor and consultant agreements to ensure compliance with company and contracting policies and procedures.
• Preparation and processing of company approved form contract documents, including editing, proofreading, and finalizing documents.
• Extensive interaction with regional, divisional, and departmental personnel with respect to contracting and vendor issues.
• Serve as a highly professional point of contact for other Meritage employees, as well as vendors, vendor’s legal representatives, insurance agents and others.
• Interface with purchasing personnel to train and answer questions regarding new and existing vendor agreements and contracting policies and procedures.
• Maintain and organize database of vendor contracts and forms and ensure proper cataloguing and retention of contract documents.
• Additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• Paralegal Training Preferred
• Three years of experience as a paralegal in a similar industry; and/or
• Three years of experience with contracts and data base management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Strong project management skills
