Job Title Software Engineer 1 Job Description About Your Role: Build and maintain features of the magazines.com ecommerce storefront, using Java/JSP, HTML/CSS, JavaScript and relational databases. Keep up with new technologies and approaches to solve problems and improve existing systems. Work directly with designers, QA, and other developers in a dedicated scrum team to fully realize the product vision. Participate in a well-oiled agile system to continuously add new features & functionality to the business. About You: 2 years building interactive web applications as a front-end, back-end or full-stack developer. You should have a demonstrated track record of technical proficiency with Java, HTML, vanilla Javascript, and CSS/SCSS, ideally with a portfolio and/or examples of work in Github. Willingness to learn new technologies and grow as a developer. Ideally, you’ll also have a meticulous eye for design and rigorously check your own work for quality and precision, even before QA and stakeholder review. Any exposure to eCommerce platforms is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field or foreign equivalent.
