Role Description for the Behavioral Health Technician

• Provide 1:1 and intervention including behavior modification techniques and proactive strategies to stabilize the child or adolescent as outlined in the service plan.
• Work collaboratively with manager and team members to ensure the service plan is meeting the child’s needs and recommends other services.
• Provide therapeutic supervision of children in our care during treatment and educational activities.
• Support family and school personnel in their efforts to stabilize the child by providing information, guidance, modeling, and counseling.
• Document behavioral progress and collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other staff.

Minimum Qualifications for the Behavioral Health Technician

• Pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in qualifying field of study
1. For an internship, currently enrolled in Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of high school diploma
• Experience working/volunteering with children/adolescents
• Licensed as required by state
• Behavioral certification such as RBT (preferred)
