What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Pharmacy Technician position at MedWiz Pharmacy?
Medwiz Solutions, LLC - located in Bardonia, NY is looking for a highly motivated Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team in our rapidly growing pharmacy. We are open seven days per week. The Pharmacy Technician will be designated to work to fill the control prescriptions.
You must display compassion and understanding, in addition to attention to detail and excellent administrative skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare control prescriptions – Prepare medication, as prescribed by physicians, under the guidance of the acting Pharmacist. Under the direction of Pharmacists. Order, receive, and maintain the inventory to maintain tight security at all times.
- Provide administrative support – Maintain a clean and organized environment. Document orders, prescriptions, purchase orders, stock, and disbursements into the computer system. Generate orders for drugs and supplies with the guidance from the Pharmacist.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Successful completion of a pharmacy technician training course and state licensing, as required
- Certified Tech in the state of New York
- National certification required
