Seeking ** Per Diem ** Pediatric Hospitalist Providers To Join Our Sutter Memorial Hospital Team in Sacramento, CA

Responsibilities

• 12 hour Inhouse Shifts; 8am -9pm or 8pm - 9am
•  Weekend Nights Most Needed
•  High Acuity

• This position covers a 40 bed general pediatric unit within a tertiary care Children's Center. Within the children's center is also a 20-bed PICU (Including 6 CVICU beds), 61-bed NICU, dedicated 10-bed Pediatric Emergency Department and Wellbaby nursery

  Daytime hospitalists cover two team with an average daily census of 12-15 each. A third daytime attending covers a portion of the wellbaby nursery (ADC 15). Overnight nocturnist covers all pediatric hospitalist teams on both the pediatric floors and Wellbaby nursery. 

  This position involves coordination of care between a variety of surgical and medical subspecialists caring for complex, high acuity general pediatric and step-down patients. The hospitalist service also provides 24-hour coverage for transfer acceptance throughout the region and telehealth consultation. Candidates should feel comfortable providing high level pediatric consultation, coordinating complex care, and with respiratory support modalities such as high-flow nasal cannula, continuous albuterol and chest tube management. 

Qualifications

• Must be a Board Certified Pediatric Hospitalist

• Active CA license

• Practiced acute care inpatient pediatric within the last 2 years

Benefits and Compensation

Pediatrix does cover your travel expenses (round trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for those who reside outside a commutable distance from the practice.

We also cover your malpractice insurance for this W-2 per diem position.

Compensation: The pay for this position is $136.00/hour
