Medical Resource Solutions is Hiring a Distribution Center Associate I Near MELBOURNE, FL

CONTRACT POSITION M-F 1st Shift (7:30-4:00) 3 months

POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide world class quality, competitive value, and outstanding service through effective materials management of programs in supply logistics, inventory management, computer support, and supply channel management to clinical departments.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Quality/No Harm:
-Safely utilizes pallet jacks, hand trucks, furniture dollies and other moving equipment
-Utilizes equipment to load/unload trucks, pick orders, replenish stock, and put away equipment, supplies and furniture.
-Abides by applicable laws and regulations and supports Correctly reports in good faith belief of any violation of the compliance policies or applicable laws.
-Performs work assignments and other duties as directed by the Distribution Supervisor, Lead or Level III in accomplishing daily activities to include accomplishing work assignments and ensuring uninterrupted customer service as directed by the C&SCA Director and Corporate Manager.
-Receives, stores, pulls and delivers departmental and medical records in accordance with established procedures. Utilizes @Par Track It Warehouse Management System to establish inventory, assign warehouse locations, pull files from inventory, and receive receipt signatures for delivered files. Assigns file destruction dates in accordance with t Records Management Policy & Procedure and selects and pulls file for destruction. Becomes familiar with record's management policy, procedures and laws. Evaluated by number of incorrectly assigned locations/destruction dates, number of miss picks, and number of undocumented deliveries.
-Actively participates in the department's continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities pertaining to inventory management responsibilities.
-Demonstrates the safe handling, transport and temporary storage of packaged medication items (i.e. boxed items, bulk packages, associate prescription bags). Associate is able to handle, properly store and transport medication packages from one secure location to another secure location within the organization.

Customer Experience:
-Supports organization and departmental policies, programs, and procedures. Responsible for adhering to the established standards of courtesy, dress, and appearance.
- Helps to complete tasks in the materials function that are not within job description.
- Demonstrates the values of team concept on a consistent basis.
Stewardship:
- Maintains high level of accuracy in the Distribution Center insuring all material is placed into proper location, correct quantities, material rotation is applied, and items are pulled to fill customer orders. Ensure cycle count methods are exercised to comply with quality control guidelines.
- Provides Logistic Services to all departments and distributes medical supplies or equipment to supported customer areas in a timely manner.
- Closes the loop on all open issues and reviews the status of all open orders
 - Reduce inventory loss attributed to damage or obsolescence. Performs warehouse maintenance of assigned aisles to ensure accuracy and cleanliness and removal of all excess supplies and debris. Conducts reviews and ensure compliance of department dated item program.
- Performs other duties as assigned or necessity dictates.
- Maintains confidentiality of financial transactions, purchasing related business and any other position-related information.
 - Participate and assist in reducing department supply operating cost through standardization, utilization, and education

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Associate degree from an accredited school in Business Administration or related discipline is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent (GED) education is mandatory.
- Minimum of two years hospital related experience involving selection, procurement, distribution, or inventory control of medical/surgical supplies preferred.
- High degree of math aptitude and communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).
- Certified Materials Resource Professional (CMRP or equal) by the American Hospital Association (AHA) preferred.
- Ability to function independently within a broad scope of guidelines within established policies and goals.
- Comprehend basic oral and written daily work assignments.
- Ability to read and communicate fluently in English.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Considerable stooping, squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling heavy weights, awkward and bulky boxes, crates, using carts, pallet jacks and other box lifting mechanisms/conveyances.
- Must be able to endure frequent lifting/ pulling of items weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted, 3-4 times per hour.
- Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours per day.
- Operation of various types of manual and motorized equipment used in the transportation of materials

COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT/SKILLS CHECKLIST:
- Excellent, positive human relation and organizational skills.
- Basic Computer Skills to perform business activities (E-mail, correspondence, etc.).
- Knowledge of warehousing and inventory management MMIS systems.
- Familiarity with operation of Personal Computers, Hand Held Terminals and Office Automation software.
