Medical Laboratory TechnicianMedical Laboratory Technician functions under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor. Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing various routine clinical laboratory tests. Responsibilities

1. Operates manual and automatic laboratory instrument/equipment
2. Calibrates and performs routine maintenance on laboratory instrument/equipment
3. Prepares chemicals, reagents, and solutions required for clinical laboratory testing
4. Utilizes the Laboratory Information System to enter test orders, report results, look up results, verify specimen receipt time and date, and check pending tests
5. Complies with all Clinic policies and procedures, including Safety and the Code of Conduct

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associates of Science or related degree required
• 1-2 years of experience working in a clinical laboratory
• Knowledge of CAP & CLIA regulations and standards
• Experience in Clinical Chemistry & Special Chemistry with Roche Cobas system preferred
• MLT(ASCP) certification or equivalent preferred
